The final Balls and Brawls WWE 2015 award is for Superstar of the year and there is no one more deserving than the former WWE Champion Seth Rollins, who enjoyed enormous success before being struck down by a serious knee injury.
After his breakthrough year in 2014 by turning on The Shield and becoming Mr. Money in the Bank, things got even better for the architect who never disappointed when inside the squared circle.
It was at the Royal Rumble in January that Seth Rollins proved he was a main event star when he outshone Brock Lesnar and John Cena in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship in one of the matches of the year.
He did not win the title that night but Rollins made history at WrestleMania when he became the first man to cash in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania by interfering in the Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns main event to claim the gold.
Rollins had lost to Randy Orton earlier in the night at the showcase of immortals but the former Shield member was determined to have his WrestleMania moment by pinning Reigns to win his first WWE Championship.
In the months that followed, he successfully defended his title against Orton and Dean Ambrose, before The Undertaker gave him a helping hand at Battleground to save his title when the Deadman cost Brock Lesnar.
Rollins once again made history at SummerSlam as he defeated John Cena albeit with the help from former Daily Show host Jon Stewart as he became the first man to hold both the United States Championship and WWE Championship at the same time.
Kane also proved unsuccessful at taking the title away from the Architect but as it looked like we were heading for a Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins main event at Survivor Series, disaster struck for Seth Rollins.
A serious knee injury sustained at a house show in Dublin, Ireland meant that Rollins would have to drop the title and would miss six to nine months of action.
Rollins deservedly won the Slammy Award for Superstar of the year and the former champion promised to redesign, rebuild and reclaim and when he returns in the summer 2016 and I hope he returns better than ever.
