FastLane 2017 Predictions

Goldberg looks to continue his impressive run since returning to the WWE, as the WCW legend aims to capture the WWE Universal Championship from Kevin Owens at WWE FastLane.

Kevin Owens faces his toughest test as WWE Universal Champion as KO steps into the ring with WCW legend Goldberg, who aims to head into his WrestleMania showdown with Brock Lesnar as the new Universal Champion.

After Chris Jericho accepted Goldberg’s challenge on Owens’ behalf, Owens finally had enough of his “best friend” and attacked him during the Festival of Friendship, which was the beginning of a rivalry which will see the former friends face off at the showcase of immortals.

Owens claimed Goldberg is over-rated and when it comes to the wrestling, he said Goldberg is no match for him. However Goldberg came to Raw a week later and promised to become champion, but Owens interrupted him as he predicts the Goldberg chant will die at FastLane.

I’m sure I am not the only one who wants to see Kevin Owens retain with Brock Lesnar costing Goldberg. However, the reality of the situation is that Goldberg will become the new Universal Champion. It won’t be pretty but I just hope it is not a squash match.

Prediction: Goldberg

Roman Reigns v Braun Strowman

Roman Reigns looks to score revenge on Braun Strowman for costing him the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble, when the two powerhouses go face-to-face at Fastlane.

Reigns returned the favour by costing Strowman the Universal title the night after the Royal Rumble and things heated up the following week, when Strowman powerslammed the Big Dog through the barricade after costing him his match against Samoa Joe.

Strowman has defeated Mark Henry and Big Show in recent weeks to keep his impressive run going, while this week’s contract signing saw a familiar sight in recent weeks with Strowman standing tall over Reigns for the fourth time in four weeks.

Undertaker is rumoured to make an appearance to cost Reigns the match, while this one could also end in a double countout or DQ. I think it would make more sense for Reigns to win before his big showdown with Undertaker at WrestleMania.

Prediction: Roman Reigns
